New Year: A Sanctuary of Time
Hello Radiant Yogis, The New Year is upon us! ⭐️
As we reflect upon the time we've already spent on this earth & delightfully look forward to the magic that is to come, let us mindfully/soulfully/joyfully live presently in awe of that which is now.
How many intentions have we set for the new year, that only causes more strife? How many resolutions have we announced, that lingers only briefly, but is set aside once again? What dedications have we made for ourselves for a fresh start, but with little energy, we lose sight of? What if we let go of the dramatic resolve & simply decided to begin with our time, so precious & so fleeting? 2021 is another opportunity, not for a fresh start or a big resolution, but for a greater awareness of time. Start simply, with grace & with bold breath, to be mindful of your moments, the seemingly big & the seemingly small. Each moment present to the flutter in your belly, the desire in your heart & the beauty in your soul. Sure, this is an opportune time to present great intentions, but only if you find that true to your spirit. Listen to what is calling you. Honor your mind & your heart, with resolve to being in presence of your life. Following your breath is the first step to being present to the moments of your life. I invite you to come alive to your life. To live awake for your life. Without numbing or holding back or hiding away. Awake & fully present, savoring each breath, each moment, soaking up the time.
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us." ~J.R.R. Tolkien "They say time is money, but that's not true. Time is life. And if I want the fullest life, I need to find fullest time." ~Ann Voskamp "We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in nothing." ~Psalm 39:6 "Being in a hurry. Getting to the next thing without fully entering the thing in front of me. I cannot think of a single advantage I've ever gained from being in a hurry. But a thousand broken and missed things, tens of thousands, lie in the wake of all the rushing.... Through all that haste I thought I was making up time. It turns out I was throwing it away." ~Mark Buchanan
